It all started during my first year in high school where I had the chance to be a part of a tour visit to a power plant in Madinah Province, Where I saw all the challenges and difficulties they face in order to provide us with electrical power. It was then when I started to see the full picture and realize the full extent of this industry, with help and illustration from site management whom we met during the visit, and at what costs and sacrifices we had to make as a country in order to have electricity as a living standard.

A sense of some responsibility was felt that day toward making an impact, even if it is as little as an awareness to the people around me. A little while after, I was on blessed to be on another visit to a desalination plant that produces potable water, that is suitable for human use, and saw the large-scale generators consuming a tremendous amount of fuel to operate. That sense of responsibility I felt before grew even more. It was only then that I realized Saudi government is burning the one and only precious strategic resource they had, Crude Oil, to provide people with clean water and electricity, and since then, both had been heavily subsidized by the government.

About 10 years later, an opportunity presented itself when I heard about a group of people who have an invention, a technology that can reduces electrical consumption up to 45% in some cases, yet there was no any indication that it works in real practice nor these numbers are actually true. The thought of the tiny possibility that this could be the solution to our national problem made decided to start pursuing the opportunity. Shortly, a meeting was conducted, an agreement was reached, a team was formed, and Wafrh was born.
